Mark Reid is a founding member of ActivateRail's leadership team and has been instrumental in the business since its inception. As one of the driving forces behind the company's growth, he has helped build ActivateRail from the ground up into one of Victoria's largest independent providers of rail track protection services.
With more than 10 years of experience in the rail industry, Mark has developed a broad understanding of rail operations, project delivery and rail consulting. His practical approach, combined with a strong understanding of client expectations and operational requirements, has enabled him to successfully deliver projects across metropolitan and regional rail networks.
Throughout his career, Mark has established a reputation for building genuine, long-term relationships across the rail industry. Whether working alongside clients, contractors, rail operators or project teams, he is known for being approachable, solutions-focused and someone who can be relied upon to get the job done.
Mark has played a significant role in developing ActivateRail's operational capability, helping shape the systems, people and culture that support the business today. He is passionate about mentoring others, developing future leaders and creating an environment where safety, accountability and continuous improvement are part of everyday operations.
Known for his hands-on leadership style, Mark believes successful projects are built on strong communication, trust and delivering on commitments. Before joining ActivateRail, Mark held leadership and supervisory roles delivering major rail infrastructure projects across Victoria. This operational experience provided the foundation for his transition into senior leadership, where he continues to support clients through practical advice, operational planning and the successful delivery of complex rail projects.
