Fiona Pettigrew

Fiona has been a practicing lawyer since 1995, with particular expertise in contract law, employment and industrial relations, and occupational health and safety. She began her career in a commercial law firm before transitioning to in-house counsel roles in the early 2000s—a shift that allowed her to become more closely involved in the operations and decision-making of the businesses she supports.

Before joining Sterling and ActivateRail, Fiona held legal roles across a range of industries, including manufacturing, consulting, warehousing and logistics, and environmental services. This broad experience has shaped her practical, solutions-focused approach to legal risk and compliance.

Fiona holds a Bachelor of Arts and Law from Monash University and has completed a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety from Swinburne University. She brings a deep understanding of legal frameworks and workplace safety to the group and plays an integral role in supporting Sterling’s evolving operations and future growth.
