Kieran Condron

Managing Director ActivateRail

Kieran Condron is a recognised leader in the delivery of rail infrastructure projects in Australia, with a depth of industry knowledge, project management expertise and experience. For the past 15 years, he has worked on major rail infrastructure works across Central Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria; managing projects with clients including Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), ARTC, GHD, KBR, Jacobs, John Holland, McDonnell Dowell, Queensland Rail, SMEC, VicTrack and Yarra Trams.

Kieran has a track record of project planning, contract management, and transportation. He has a deep understanding of operational systems, engineering, infrastructure construction and management. Kieran has a Post Graduate Diploma of Infrastructure Engineering & Management (Monash University) and a Bachelor of Engineering (RMIT University).

David Green

Group Commercial and Business Development

David has over 25 years’ experience in recruitment, resourcing and project management. He has held operational management, project delivery and senior executive roles in the labour hire industry across Australia and New Zealand with companies including Adecco Group, Randstad and Bayside Group.

He has delivered account management to major Australian and multinational companies, holding portfolios in excess of $100 million and worked on ongoing outsourcing solutions for clients including General Mills, Nestle, Schweppes and Linfox.

He leads ActiveRail’s recruitment strategy and solutions for its infrastructure clients. David has a Master of Business Administration (Australian Institute of Business) and an Advanced Diploma of Business, Management, Marketing and Related Support Services (Swinburne University of Technology).

David Greene

Manager Major Projects

After six years as a Project Manager and Project Engineer with Sterling Group, David joined as a founding member of ActivateRail in January 2018. His current responsibilities include providing stakeholder management and project coordination for the Aurecon Jacobs Mott McDonald (AJM) JV and managing the site investigations for AJM for the design of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel and Regional Rail Revival projects.

David has a portfolio of rail project management experience encompassing all aspects of engineering, asset management, rail interface and project delivery services. His background as a civil engineer includes experience in Ireland with Michael Eustace Engineering and the Department of Transport and in Canada with Alpin & Martin Consultants. He offers extensive experience in the planning and undertaking of field investigations of both road and rail bridges and culverts, providing condition assessments and remedial engineering solutions for clients.

David has a B.E. in Civil Engineering (Hons) and a B.E. in Electronic Engineering (Hons) from the National University of Ireland, Galway. His post-graduate training includes Track Safety Induction (ARTC), Level 2 Bridge Inspection (ARRB), Rail Safe Working Level 3 and Licence to Perform High Risk Work (WP).

Mark Reid

Rail Operations Manager

Mark is a highly motivated hands on professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He brings with him more than 8 years of trade based experience, including Civil and Construction Works, Rail Networks and Earthworks. Mark is dedicated to delivering results in diverse and time pressured environments, with safety as a key motivator. Mark recently lead a large project for PSG, coordinating the installation of new MYKI ticketing gates & pedestals, as well as infrastructure across Regional and Metro train stations and tram stops.

Since joining ActivateRail, Mark has managed a large number of projects from conception through to delivery, namely installation of Advertisement Boards throughout the entire MTM network. This involved managing a variety of stakeholders to produce site safety documentation, procurement of goods and materials, delivery of works on site and project safety to ensure quality parameters were maintained.

Tareena Goodridge

Manager Third Party Projects Advisory

Tareena Goodridge has 6 years’ experience in the rail industry, specialising in Third Party Access Coordination and Stakeholder management. Since joining ActivateRail in 2018, Tareena has broadened her knowledge of all things “rail access’’, developing invaluable working relationships with key stakeholders from Victoria’s railway authorities in particular MTM, V/Line and VicTrack. She has also earned the respect of her colleagues, management and numerous clients through her professionalism, work ethic and ability to get things done.

Recently, Tareena has been promoted to Manager – Third Party Projects Advisory at ActivateRail, further highlighting her knowledge and commitment to ActivateRail and her clients. Tareena also holds formal qualifications in Project Management (Diploma) and Rail safeworking qualifications to Level 3.1 TFPC, which allows her to plan and manage worksites within the rail environment with high distinction.

Paul Jerman

Manager Rail Operations Advisory

Paul has close to 45 years of practical rail operations and safeworking expertise across a variety of roles and responsibilities giving him a unique insight into the efficiency and effectiveness of rail systems and operations.

As a practitioner Paul understands rail ‘user needs’ implicitly and the need for design to translate directly into safe reliable, efficient operational outcomes.

This ‘cross the board’ experience from train controller in his early career to ‘Operations Support Manager (ARTC) and professional rail consultant means he is familiar with every aspect of rail operations.

Paul has also worked extensively with transport logistics suppliers and rail infrastructure
owners all over Australia, India, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia and brings a wealth of history, knowledge and expertise of the operations and safeworking task ensuring effective rail system requirements are achieved.

Key Staff Members

Peter Myring

Site Safety Supervisor

Peter brings with him a wealth of experience in project management and site supervision within the rail industry, managing a large number of projects to successful completion over the past 12 years with Sterling and ActivateRail.

Peter’s experience extends to supervision of Civil and Electrical contractors throughout all 5 Stages of the MYKI project, as well as a variety of other projects across the Metropolitan Network. Various Works Packages of the Regional Rail Link Project, MTM’s DTRS Project, Balaclava Station Upgrade and Richmond Canopies upgrade are just a few of the complex projects Peter has lead. Peters strong leadership and managerial skills place him as a key asset to both ActivateRail and our Clients.

Alastair Wyatt

Project Coordinator

Alastair joined ActivateRail in 2018 and has since coordinated a large number of renewals projects with our key clients. He brings with him a broad knowledge of stakeholder engagement, project management, Safeworking on project and infrastructure works and complex problem-solving skills.

Alastair’s background on the track places him in a unique position, allowing him to clearly plan and coordinate works with an efficiency only gained from previous track experience. His Bachelor of Business (Accounting) provides a base for cost controlling/financial planning around project scopes to ensure they stay within budget and meet client expectations.
