ActivateRail Engaged to Support Inland Rail Feasibility Design

ActivateRail was successful in the bid to support KBR for the feasibility design of Inland Rail, between Tottenham (Vic) and Illabo (NSW).  Inland Rail is the largest rail freight infrastructure project in Australia’s history, spanning 1,700km between Melbourne and Brisbane, transforming the way freight is transported along the Australian Eastern Seaboard.

KBR was successfully awarded the feasibility design brief for the southernmost section of the programme and selected ActivateRail to support their team in managing all areas of the project interface with the live rail environment while completing infield investigations.  ActivateRail’s role is to work with the project team to develop their infield strategies in order to establish the most efficient and safest way to obtain their required information, as well as plan and implement all areas of track protection.
